Ridgefield One has been contracted to help fill a number of new positions with a growing Cyber Defense company in Fairfield County, CT.


Job Summary:

This position will have a significant role in supporting current and future products within our security product landscape. Successful candidates must be experienced with C, C#, C++ and SQL with a focus on building applications in a best practice security environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create RPM’s of software (Red Hat Pkg Manager) using CentOS

  • Design, develop and test new software applications, including preparing proposals to outline development as directed by the application team lead. Work with application protocol interfaces

  • Monitor and report application errors and design and deploy troubleshooting measures and solutions – recommend solutions

  • Create applications which meet security best practices

  • Shell scripting using Python and/or Bash

  • Support the Product Development Life Cycle. Create PDPs (project development plans) that defines the functionality of what you will implement.

  • Configure Applications and define tests plans to match system requirements

  • Ability to work with customers to understand problems and define solutions

  • Work effectively within a team environment

  • Other duties as management may so direct

Required Qualifications :


  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Any previous security clearances a plus

  • 3-7 years’ experience

  • College degree in a relevant field of study, e.g. computer science, computer engineering or related engineering fields. (advanced degree a plus)


Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Significant SQL programming experience

  • Experience programming for different SQL databases (MS SQL, Postgres, Oracle, etc…)

  • Experience programming in C++, C# and C

  • Experience with .NET development

  • Literacy in Python and Bash

  • Experience designing and developing programs

  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems

  • Strong Network skills (TCP/UDP)

  • Experience with debugging software, like gdb

  • Experience creating custom RPM installers

  • Experience debugging system level problems

  • Experience with agile development is a plus

  • Experience with version control software (i.e. Git, Subversion, CVS) a plus

  • Significant hands-on experience with the software development and testing

  • Overall coordination, development and execution of product development

  • Able to work in a fast passed start-up environment

  • Ability to see the big picture
