Our client is a worldwide leader in Banking.  Their core activities are safeguarding assets, lending money, making payments and accessing the capital markets on behalf of their clients.



The Operational Risk Program Management Office is looking for a Regulatory Risk Senior Manager to program manage Operational Risk Management (ORM) initiatives including the development and implementation of processes and tools to strengthen enterprise management of operational risks.  Initiatives include enhancing The Company's Operational Risk Management framework, resolution of regulatory matters requiring attention, automation of CCAR and Basel processes and strengthening the 2nd Line of defense for technology operational risk management.



Specific Responsibilities:


• Direct and drive the successful and timely completion of ORM programs to achieve business goals
• Management of ORM initiatives utilizing processes and tools as required by program management standards.
• Execution of program management disciplines including progress, issues, risk, communication and change management.
• Effective management of program management processes to ensure timely and proactive 1) identification of program issues and risks and 2) development and execution of mitigation/resolution plans.
• Management of program scope to ensure sufficient resource allocation, documented stakeholder approval and successful completion of the program.
• Tracking and status reporting via various processes and to multiple governing bodies.
•  Working with IT partners to 1) identify and document business requirements, 2) develop test strategies, 3) document test scenarios, and, 4) coordinate the execution of test scripts.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Operational Risk Program Management Office with broad exposure across Operational Risk Management, Technology, Finance and Compliance. As such, the role provides key learning opportunities related to regulatory requirements, Heightened Standards, the Risk technology environment as well as exposure to senior leaders within Operational Risk Management.


• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
• 7+ years’ experience in project management practices or related responsibilities (operational change management, reengineering) in a financial services institution is required
• PMP certification is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated effectiveness in program leadership roles in transformational financial services initiatives.
• Excellent skills in communication, presentation, influencing others, negotiations, and working with diverse, geographically dispersed teams.
• Substantial experience in regulatory program management in the financial services industry. Prior work in operational risk management is a substantial plus.
• Ability to facilitate discussions and drive group meetings to arrive at consensus amongst a diverse set of stakeholders.
• Capable of performing end to end analysis to identify gaps and propose solutions
• Ability to quickly grasp and master new subject matter and regulatory-related concepts
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Well organized and excellent attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present to senior levels of management.
• Comfortable interacting and building consensus across functions and levels of seniority
• Team player in both solid and matrix line reporting organizations
