Solution Designer (Business Analyst)

Job Description :

Ridgefield One is a staffing agency serving NY, CT, and VT.  Our client, Webster Bank, is a regional bank with offices in New Britain.


We are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to fill a Solutions Designer role on a three month contract with possibility of longer-term extension.


You will assist the Service Design and Transition manager and engineers in the planning, execution, and solution related to new and existing products, modules and services. 


Functions include

  • working closely with engineers in setting milestones for each project

  • coordinating efforts between various technology teams

  • managing project financials and ensuring that projects are delivered according to plan

  • assist in the implementation of group standards to bring increased efficiency in the delivery of all projects and services

  • enhanced client satisfaction




  • Create plans to move technical solutions to final transition hand-off

  • Track assigned projects

  • Develop metric reporting and project quality assurance

  • Proactively manage changes in project scope

  • Identify potential crises and devise contingency plans

  • Own the communication and execution of solution hand-over to Service Operations

  • Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation and presentations

Required Qualifications :

  • 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst / IT Solutions Designer

  • Proven ability to elicit requirements and create necessary documentation

  • Experience creating business and functional requirements

  • Experience working with developers and support staff

  • Strong knowledge of various methodologies such as Waterfall or Agile

  • Experience creating test cases and test scripts

  • Knowledge of ITIL v3 best practices

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Visio

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
