We are currently recruiting candidates for an entry-level opening with a major manufacturer in Plattsburgh, NY. This is your opportunity to get in on the ground floor and work your way up to a Union job with awesome benefits.
You will start off as a Sorter / Packer, doing general labor tasks like inspecting parts for defects and making sure everything is labeled properly. You'll then pack completed items, make sure the count is correct, fill out the associated paperwork, and clean up your work area. You'll collect any scraps or rejected parts and take them on a cart to the grinder room for re-use.
Once you've got a good handle on the job you will help train other new employees, as they're hired. This is the first step in moving up through the ranks.
The job will require you to do some heavy lifting and a lot of walking so this is a good chance to get your daily exercise.
Your safety on the job is the company's number one priority so you'll be provided with a hair net, eye protection, and ear protection and you will be required to use them.
You'll need to bring your own steel-toed boots.
Day and Night shifts are available. 12 Hour Rotating Shifts
