Ridgefield One is a staffing agency, contracted to help fill an important Technology role in Midtown Manhattan. 



 

Our client is an international metals mining and trading company.  The Company has the highest standards in regard to mining and trading practices of Conflict Minerals, often exceeding minimum government requirements.  Offices are located around the world and you will have the opportunity to travel to many of them, including Paris, Luxembourg, and China.

 

Primary Duties and responsibilities: (must have previous experiences)





  • Perform 1st and 2nd level of support.




  • Focus on the end user support and their related working environment (MS office & printer).




  • Ensure a risk-free IT environment in support of our staff & business as a whole.




  • Provide timely and adequate communication to reporting Manager in order to minimize issues.






 


Secondary Duties and responsibilities: (previous experiences not required but preferred)




  • Managing/Supporting of Microsoft Exchange environment and related messaging Services.




  • Managing/Supporting of Microsoft Active Directory environment.




  • Maintaining/Monitoring of Windows server environment, Virtual platform & Active director

Technical knowledge / Education requirements:




  • 2 years of help desk/desktop support experience.




  • Basic Active Directory/Exchange management of users, computers, groups.




  • Windows XP/7, Windows Server 2008/2012, Microsoft Office.




  • Knowledge in DHCP, SMTP, POP3, TCP/IP, RAID, DNS.




  • Knowledge of applications such as VPN clients, anti-virus, and diagnostic tools.




  • Installation and troubleshooting of Windows platforms.




  • Ability to provide technical support over the phone.




  • Professional demeanor with previous customer service experience.





 


Education:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.


 




  • Travelling will be required about 20% of the time, often times on short notice.
