Job Description :
Ridgefield One is a staffing agency specializing in IT and General Labor.  We currently have a Systems Engineer contract opening with possibility of conversion to permanent employment with a major communications company in Philadelphia, PA.


You will be responsible for the planning and engineering of the organization's systems infrastructure. This includes the implementation and design of hardware and software.


You will monitor the performance of applicable internal and cloud systems including Linux servers and Azure hosting.


You will be expected to be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within your current field and be able to rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish newly defined goals.


Work will be under general supervision so a high degree of independence is expected along with creativity and latitude.

Required Qualifications :
• 1+ year's experience with programmatic management of systems at scale (DevOps) with languages like Python (preferred), Ruby, or Go

• 5+ years of Linux system administration experience (e.g. CentOs/Ubuntu)

• Minimum of 1 year of Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience, in particular implementing SECURITY and AVAILABILITY best practices with automation

• The ability to balance governance needs with customer requirements and deliver consistently within a tight deadline

• Commitment to delivering value rapidly as part of a distributed agile team with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills as you will be working with multiple internal teams and clients
