General Description


Under the direction of the Information Technology Director, creates and implements new applications as well as supports existing applications and reports.





Essential functions and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Company’s application initiatives

  • Design, develop, test, and implement database-driven software solutions

  • Analyze and document project specifications

  • Support and maintain existing software applications

  • Maintain foundation data required for applications

  • Upgrade/Migrate applications to new application platforms, as needed

  • Recommend system changes and enhancements


·         Performs other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Applications design and implementation

  • Database design and implementation

  • Object oriented analysis and design

  • Visual Basic.NET (VB.NET)

  • Visual Studio 2013 or greater

  • Structured Query Language (SQL)

  • Development of stored procedures and complex queries

  • Query optimization

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or greater

  • Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2014 or greater

  • Microsoft Office 2010 or greater

  • General office procedures and skills

  • Excellent communication skills



    Preferred Knowledge and Skills:


  • Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

  • Unified Modeling Language (UML)

  • Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) Development

  • Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)

  • Microsoft Analysis Services (SSAS) or other data warehousing technology

  • DB2

  • Visual Basic 6, C, C++, C#

  • Microsoft Access VBA Development

  • Vormittag Associates’ S2K Enterprise
